Xplore Technologies has introduced a 6” handheld computer to its expanding rugged mobility portfolio: the Xplore M60. This Qualcomm Octa-Core powered and Android 8.0 Oreo ultra-mobile device will be available in two enterprise-ready configurations when it starts shipping in June 2018 – with and without a built-in barcode scanner.
At only 0.81 lb (369g), the M60 is an ideal option for workers who require real-time access to specialized enterprise applications and data, but demand fewer computing capabilities than what are delivered in Xplore’s larger tablet and 2-in-1 computers.
Below are just a few additional design features that make the pocket-sized product the ideal rugged mobile device for transportation, distribution, rail and automotive environments:
- The M60’s scratch-resistant 6” View Anywhere display is one of the biggest and brightest Glove/Wet touch screens you can find on a handheld mobile device, making it easy to view in direct sunlight or in dimly lit areas.
- Featuring an enterprise-ready Android OS, the M60 offers a variety of voice, email and app-based communications channels for workers to stay in touch with teams, back-office systems and customers in real-time.
- The M60 is available with an optional barcode scanner that transportation/distribution workers can use with a single click to scan barcodes and NFC tags while on the go
