The 2016 edition of Smart Trucker seminar series was launched on Saturday March 5th at Capitol Banquet Hall in Mississauga.

The seminar presented by Road Today Media Group and Outridge Enterprises offered advanced sessions on leadership, business, time management, better customer service, profit centers in trucking,  new electronic log devices, mandatory elementary level training and commercial vehicle safety with a focus on prevention of wheel off incidents.

Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Kerry Schmidt from Highway Safety Division gave a special presentation on trucks maintenance and winter driving safety. Other speakers included Bruce Outridge, Mike Hahn, Vickie de Vos, Puja Gupta, Andy Malion and  Manan Gupta.

Smart Trucker seminar was attended and benefited by fleet owners, drivers, owner operators and new entrants to the industry. Sponsors included Challenger Motor Freight, Fleet Tax Services and Spectra Products.

The series will continue with more seminars scheduled for Hamilton, London, Kingston and Oshawa later in the year.
