Public assistance needed in a shooting/attempted murder investigation in Brampton

Investigators from the 22 Division, Criminal Investigation Bureau of Peel Regional Police are appealing for the public’s assistance in the shooting/attempted murder investigation that occurred in Brampton.

On Friday, March 9, 2024, the victim, a 34-year-old man from Brampton, was in the rear of McMurchy Plaza, located at 51 McMurchy Avenue South, in the City of Brampton, when he was approached and shot multiple times by an unknown suspect.  The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a trauma centre. The victim is in serious but stable condition.

The suspect who fled the scene is a male, multi-race, 16-18 years of age, 5’8” to 5’10”, slim build.   He was last seen wearing a dark-colored Nike jacket, dark-colored track pants, and dark-colored running shoes, possibly Nikes.
