On August 13, 2025, CBSA officers conducted a secondary inspection of a commercial truck arriving from the United States. Inside the trailer, they uncovered 150 kg of suspected cocaine packed in six boxes, valued at approximately $18.8 million. The driver, Gurjeet Singh, 28, of Brampton, Ontario, was arrested and handed over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) along with the narcotics.
