CBSA seizes 70 kg of cocaine at Osoyoos Border Crossing in B.C.

In a major drug bust, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) intercepted 70 kg of suspected cocaine at the Osoyoos port of entry in British Columbia. The seizure, the largest of its kind at this border crossing, occurred on June 11, 2025, during a routine inspection of a Canadian citizen’s pick-up truck returning from the United States.

Border officers discovered bricks of cocaine hidden in the truck’s bed, with the haul estimated to represent 140,000 individual doses. The driver was arrested by CBSA and handed over to the RCMP Federal Policing – Pacific Region for further investigation.

This significant seizure underscores the CBSA’s ongoing efforts to combat drug smuggling and protect Canadian communities.
